About me
I am an Applied Mathematician specializing in Nonlinear Fluid Dynamics. I study how fluids flow, why they form patterns, and how their dynamics change as they undergo instabilities.
I studied Mathematics at the Université de Toulouse and completed my PhD in Fluid Dynamics at the Institut de Mécanique des Fluides de Toulouse in 2012. After my PhD, I held a postdoctoral research position in Physics at UC Berkeley (2012–2014) and obtained my first faculty position at Imperial College London in 2014. I joined the University of Leeds in 2016 and have since held positions including Deputy Director of Research and Innovation at the School of Mathematics.
My teaching experience spans three countries and dates back to 2005, from high school to PhD level. I have developed modules on Fluid Dynamics and have tutored across Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science. I also designed a competition inspired by the role of Race Strategy Engineer in Formula One.
Outside academia, I am known as a keen pianist and increasingly involved in corvid affairs. You might wonder how to pronounce my name. Here is how, together with some complementary explanations.
